Temporary Structure Finance
The Project
We were delighted to work with Russell and Unisystems Ltd as part of their three-phase loading bay and canopy project. Our partnership involved providing a him with the best funding solution for each stage of the development.
Here at GTF Event Equipment, this partnership is a typical example of the kinds of projects we work on with our customers, and we were kindly referred to Russell by Ben and the team at Mar-Key, whom we’ve had a long standing relationship with for many years.
Phase 1
We were pleased to be introduced to Unisystems Freight Ltd by one of our long term partners, Mar-Key Group. Russell, the MD, was looking to finance a new warehouse canopy for his distribution site in Essex after realising they were quickly running out of storage space. By working with us and getting the right funding option, they could get that project underway.
After talking with Russell and the Mar-Key team, understanding the prices of the equipment and getting a target installation date, we discussed all the suitable finance options. Following our conversations, we met Russell at his office and agreed on a 5 Year Finance Lease.
The canopy was installed in December 2021 and Russell was delighted with the project from start to finish. It was an excellent example of how temporary structures can really be a quick and effective storage solution.
Phase 2
In April 2023, we received a call from Russell saying he was looking to enclose the canopy that was installed during Phase 1 with steel walling, a roller shutter and personal doors at a total cost of £55,000. He was keen to work with us again to arrange finance for a second time, given how well the first phase of the project had gone.
Once again, we worked closely Russell and the team at Mar-Key for the quotation. After reviewing all of the possible options that would be suitable for Phase 2 of the project, we spoke to Russell and both agreed on another Finance Lease for this equipment, but on a 4 year term.
All was agreed and Phase 2 went ahead without a hitch!

Phase 3
Russell’s plan for the future is to build a canopy to cover the whole of the loading bays and yard in 2024.
He has been thoroughly pleased with the entire process and once again he has agreed to come back to us and Mar-key for Phase 3 in the final stage of this project in 2024.
