The Project
Visions Event Solutions Ltd have been a customer of GTF Event Equipment for 18 years and are our longest standing customer. In that time, we have provided a number of Leasing facilities for them for a range of electric power units, photographic equipment, sound equipment and vehicles.
Back in 2005, we were contacted by Chris’s father because we were a member of MUTA, the industry trade association. As a result, it was perceived by Visions that because we were a member of MUTA we are a bona fide Finance Broker who had an understanding of their market sector.
Chris was now looking for a finance solution for three proposed new portable generators for their corporate events business.
The Process
Once Chris made contact with us, we visited him at one of his sites in Reading and once again took time out to explain to him all the possible funding options available for the proposed new portable generators.
The Cost of these units was £55k and Chris wanted to spread the cost over a 4 year term. We suggested to Chris that we should do this deal on a finance lease, so that they could benefit from the taxable allowances on the equipment. Our proposal was agreed and Chris duly gave me all of the documents we required in order to complete their proposal for our underwriters.
The proposal got accepted almost by return and the documents were duly issued, so we went back to Reading to get all the paperwork completed. This gave us another opportunity to see the customer face to face and to further strengthen our long standing relationship.
