The Project
Chris was referred to the team at GTF Event Equipment by our long term trusted supplier, Kata Tipis. He was looking to start a new wedding tipi business in the North West and was seeking finance for the new tipis he needed to acquire for this project.
We’ve long worked with a network of trusted suppliers in the hospitality and leisure industry, which means we’ve come to know the equipment very well and have arranged finance for many wedding rental businesses. So, when Chris contacted us we were delighted to help him with his new business venture.
The Process
Initially, we hopped on a Teams meeting with Chris and discussed his plans. He was concerned about the challenges of starting a new business in the current financial climate. However, we’ve worked with many new start businesses and as we went through his business model in some detail, we quickly put Chris’ mind at ease and established what equipment and financial requirements were needed for the project.
With everything review, we were now in a place to look at the finance options. For this project, we suggested a finance lease with a 25% deposit. With new start businesses, funders tend to look for slightly larger deposits for 5 year term agreements.
Chris was very happy with this proposal and we approached our funders with this project and we managed to secure a deal for the business on this basis.
